The IDFC air conditioning unit serves as the terminal air handling equipment within the IDAC intelligent distributed air conditioning system. It primarily comprises an EC fan, heat exchanger, electric heater, motorised control valve, and intelligent control assembly.

IDFC air conditioning units are available in two installation configurations: horizontal and vertical. Horizontal units are typically installed within the ceilings of cabins and corridors, maintaining the overall aesthetic integrity of the interior. Vertical units may be installed within cabinet interlayers or within the maintenance access area of the unit's sanitary facilities, allowing direct access from the corridor for convenient commissioning and servicing without disturbing cabin occupants.
